About Us

Erin Nelsen’s passion for cooking blossomed at an early age. Her mother would giggle at the way Erin danced around while eating, happily absorbing flavors, and even noting nuances of dishes that were presented to her. She was always first to volunteer in the kitchen, standing on chairs, and diving into her gift, as she created dishes to share with the entire family. As she got older, and her fascination for cuisine deepened, she would take cooking classes everywhere she traveled. Whether in Thailand, Spain, South America, or Denmark (just to name a few), she’d have a cooking class booked before she even knew where she was sleeping! 

Erin spent decades honing her skills in the kitchen, both professionally and domestically. She was a first place competitor in Austin local Paella Lovers Unite, eventually working her way up to becoming a judge. Her passion for food continues to expand as she takes Master classes, dines at new restaurants around town to experience up-and-coming dishes, and hosts fantastically elegant and creative dinner parties for friends to test out whatever new dish she has concocted. With her daughter in tow, trying everything from snails in Greece, herring in Scandinavia, and oysters in Boston, she is proud to be raising a foodie and seasoned world traveler.
